Your opportunity
Join the team at Westfield Sydney as a Risk & Security Supervisor, where you’ll play a key role in delivering a safe, secure and seamless experience across one of our most complex and high-profile assets.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact role overseeing risk and security operations across a 7-building precinct, supporting a large contractor workforce and working closely with centre leadership to drive safety, compliance and operational excellence.
You’ll be hands-on in day-to-day operations while also influencing outcomes – making this an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step up and grow into a Risk & Security Manager role, within a team that actively supports internal progression across the business, as demonstrated by recent progression within the team.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the proactive management and response to incidents, hazards, emergencies and near misses across the centre
- Responding to emergency and evacuation situations, ensuring accurate reporting and timely escalation in line with procedures
- Supporting the delivery of risk and security initiatives to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Assisting in the management and performance of contracted security services, including coaching and day-to-day support
- Supporting safety audits, inspections and compliance programs across the centre
- Delivering and coordinating training programs, including toolbox talks and compliance training
- Monitoring and maintaining accurate incident reporting, documentation and trend analysis
- Building strong relationships with internal teams, retailers, contractors, emergency services and external stakeholders
As part of the centre operations leadership team, you will also undertake Duty Manager responsibilities from time to time, including rostered weekend shifts which are balanced with a day off in lieu.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity based onsite at Westfield Sydney.
What sets you apart
You bring experience within security, risk management or operational environments, with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail. You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
You will have:
- Experience in risk, security, safety or operational roles within retail, property, hospitality or similar environments
- Strong understanding of incident management, emergency response and WHS practices
- Confidence working with security systems including CCTV and access control platforms
- Experience delivering or coordinating training programs
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders
