We’re looking for a Building Optimisation Engineer (Water) to take the lead in transforming how we manage and optimise water usage across our destinations.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and implement innovative water efficiency strategies, leveraging smart technology and data-driven insights to drive sustainability and commercial success. By embedding innovative solutions like IoT smart metering, you’ll play a key role in reducing water consumption and enhancing operational performance.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Identify and implement operational efficiency opportunities with a strong focus on water utilisation.
- Deploy and integrate smart technologies, such as IoT smart metering, to analyse data and optimise performance.
- Standardise and enhance metering specifications, operational data, and management systems.
- Monitor and interpret data from multiple sources to drive informed business decisions.
- Develop and communicate insights, providing data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed sustainable practices and improve commercial outcomes.
- Support the delivery of the group’s water strategy by driving innovation and best practices in water management.
This role is a permanent, full-time role.
What sets you apart:
- A background in Building Services, Facilities Management, Design & Construction Management, Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering, or something similar (trade or tertiary qualifications welcome).
- Hands-on experience with building systems like Mechanical & Hydraulic Services, Building Management Systems, or Building Analytics.
- A good understanding of Facilities Management & Building Services standards and best practices.
- A collaborative mindset – you enjoy working with different teams and stakeholders to get the best results.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Confidence in data analysis, data visualisation, and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting.
- A proactive approach – you're always looking for ways to improve efficiency and make a real impact.
