Join our team at Scentre Group, we currently have a key leadership role available for a Risk and Security Manager to join our team at Westfield Eastgardens.
As Risk and Security Manager, you’ll step into a key leadership role within our customer experience team, where your impact will be felt daily. You’ll lead the security and risk function for the centre, safeguarding the wellbeing of our employees, contractors, retailers, and customers.
This isn’t just about operational oversight it’s about creating a safe, welcoming environment where people feel confident and secure. You’ll be the go-to expert, working closely with stakeholders across the centre, driving proactive risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring we’re always a step ahead.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Lead initiatives that support our strategy to operate safe and secure environment.
- Deliver day-to-day best in class security services to support excellence in customer experience this involves management of external service providers and contract security staff
- Proactively planning and delivering priorities from our Safety Framework
- Providing education and training as required ensuring Asset Team, security staff and contractors are trained to deal with incidents and emergencies
- Ensure all asset team members and service providers operate with adherence to all relevant statutory requirements, Codes, standards and authority requirements
- Maintain optimal security posture and deliver on requirements of Crowded Places Strategy.
- Proactive management, reporting, and response to hazard identification, incidents, emergencies, near misses and claims
- Manage compliance with all security & health & safety policies, procedures, & practices at the Centre
- Develop strong relationships and work with local Police, WHS Regulators, Fire Brigade and Ambulance Services to develop operational and emergency protocols
- Manage security capital budgets to ensure delivery of security technology strategy and other operational expenses
As a part of our asset team, you will also have Duty Management responsibilities, where you will be required to work a weekend shift (on a roster), which will be balanced with a day off in lieu.
What sets you apart
You will have a strong background in security with experience in risk management strategies, and contract management, you will also have the following skills and experience:
- Qualification or related experience in Work Health and Safety
- A strong background in risk and/or security management in retail property, hospitality, entertainment, leisure or services organisations.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training programs.
- Basic technology skills including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems
