Your opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator to join the team at Westfield Sydney, one of our most iconic flagship destinations in the heart of the CBD.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll support the smooth and safe operation of the centre by coordinating contractors, supporting retailers, and maintaining high standards of safety, presentation, and compliance. Working as part of a supportive team of six, you’ll gain broad exposure across facilities operations and build valuable experience within a flagship Westfield asset.
Day-to-day you will be responsible for:
- Responding to reactive maintenance issues and completing onsite investigations across the asset
- Supporting high-quality hard and soft service delivery in a luxury retail environment
- Using BMS, CMMS, fire systems, and other facilities systems to manage work orders, monitor performance, and support reporting
- Conducting inspections, safety checks, and supporting maintenance, repairs, and minor works
- Coordinating contractors and communicating with retailers and internal teams to resolve issues
- Building strong relationships with service providers to ensure timely and compliant service delivery
- Supporting environmental, sustainability, and operational initiatives through accurate reporting
- Assisting with incidents, emergencies, or evacuations in line with agreed incident management processes
This is a permanent full-time role, based onsite Monday to Friday at Westfield Sydney, with a rotating roster that includes late night shifts and one in every three weekends (with time in lieu).
Please note: parking is not available on-site during business hours; the role is best suited to candidates comfortable using public transport.
What sets you apart
You’re organised, proactive, and solutions-focused, with the confidence to operate in a fast-paced, high-profile retail environment. You communicate clearly, manage competing priorities effectively, and take ownership of your work. You’re comfortable coordinating contractors, working with technical systems, and contributing positively as part of a larger facilities team.
Experience in facilities, property, retail, building services, or a trade-based environment is highly regarded, and this role is well suited to someone looking to grow their career in the facilities space.
You will be:
- Operationally strong – able to manage day-to-day issues, prioritise work orders, and follow tasks through to completion
- Safety and compliance focused – confident applying procedures, standards, and systems to ensure safe outcomes
- Technically capable – experienced with BMS, CMMS, fire systems, or willing to learn in a complex environment
- Collaborative and reliable – a strong team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a positive team culture
- Driven and proactive – committed to delivering high standards while continuing to learn and develop
- Flexible – open to occasional late night shifts or weekend work as required (with time in lieu)
