We’re excited to offer a great opportunity for a retail or operations professional to join our team as a Retail Manager at Westfield Doncaster.
This role is ideal for someone with strong people and relationship skills who is keen to build a long-term career in retail or property. You’ll work closely with our retailers with a focus on the food category, supporting day-to-day operations, customer experience and centre presentation.
You don’t need prior shopping centre experience, backgrounds in food operations, supermarkets, hospitality or multi-site retail are highly valued.
Reporting to the Centre Manager and forming part of the Centre Leadership Team, this role offers hands-on exposure, mentorship and the opportunity to grow into a broader retail management career.
In this role, you will:
- Support the day-to-day operations and presentation of the centre
- Work closely with Food retailers, including food court operations and ambience
- Build positive relationships with retailers, customers, community groups and local stakeholders
- Help identify opportunities to improve retailer and centre performance
- Support initiatives and programs that enhance the customer and retailer experience
- Assist with issue resolution and work with internal teams to achieve strong outcomes
- Support centre incidents and emergencies in line with established procedures
- Participate in Duty Manager responsibilities as part of the Centre Leadership Team
What sets you apart
You’ll bring retail or operational experience, ideally from environments such as retail, hospitality, supermarkets or other customer-focused operations. You’ll also have:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence engaging with a range of stakeholders
- An interest in retail and food industry trends
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to think ahead
- Curiosity and confidence navigating complex situations
- Commercial acumen to identify opportunities that grow income and lift centre performance
